It was the summer between high school and college, and I'd scraped together every last penny of my graduation money to buy my first camera - a Nikon DSLR.

I started out by taking shaky shots of little details around my childhood home, like window clasps and wicker porch furniture. The more I practiced, the more in love I fell...and the rest, as they say, was a done deal. It was the beginning of a romance that's been in bloom for fourteen years, and it's hard to imagine life now without such a fantastic way to capture the most unforgettable people and places. Since the start, a few things have changed, while most remain the same. I find myself a Canon girl these days - I'm not sure I could ever go back! I'm still passionate about capturing the details, and those moments that you'll never want to forget.
